The manufacturer’s technical guides present it for hotel key card readers and for window contacts.

Automatic shutoff based on occupancy

When the card is removed from the reader, or when the window opens, the contact changes state and the unit shuts off, about 10 seconds later according to Hitachi. With the card removed, the wireless remote can no longer control the unit; a wired remote lights up, but has no effect on the unit. This avoids heating or cooling an empty room or a room open to the outdoors.

Connection

Dry contact side: non-polarized connection.

Unit side: CN6 connector on the main board, set with the DSW1 switch.

Two contact logics, type A or type B, depending on the device.

Applicable units

The airHome Multi guide lists the RAK-DJ(09-24)RHAA, RAK-DJ07QHAA, RAK-GJ(07-24)QHAA, RAF-FJ(07-18)QHAA, RAI-GJ(07-24)QHAA and RAD-GJ(07-24)QHAA.
