It covers six nominal outputs, from 5 to 25 kW, at 208-230 V single-phase. According to the manufacturer's drawing, each element carries its own relay and breaker.

The electric complement to the central heat pump

With an EAHM air handler, the central heat pump heats the house through the existing ducts. The element takes over when the heat pump needs extra heat, which makes it a common solution for replacing an electric furnace. The 5, 8 and 10 kW elements heat in one stage; the 15, 20 and 25 kW elements, in two stages.

Outputs listed by air handler size

5 kW: EAHMA24, 30 and 36.

8 kW: EAHMA24 to 48.

10 and 15 kW: EAHMA24 to 60.

20 kW: EAHMA36 to 60.

25 kW: EAHMA60 only.

Circuits and power supply

The 5, 8 and 10 kW elements connect to a single circuit.
