The MHAH124DACFC is that air handler in the 2-ton (24,000 BTU/h) size of Conforto’s MHAH series. It belongs to the range presented in Conforto’s brochure on ducted central heat pump systems, and it pushes up to 758 CFM through the ductwork.

The bungalow, natural territory of the 2-ton

In Laval, Longueuil and on the South Shore, the bungalow with a basement and original ducts is very common. Owners often want the same thing: cooling in summer, heat pump heating in winter, without redoing the whole system. The 2-ton size comes up regularly in our calculations for this type of house, and the MHAH124DACFC makes it possible while keeping the ducts, after checking their capacity.

A useful detail: Conforto publishes exactly the same dimensions for this model as for the 1.5-ton size, namely 21.02 in wide, 17.52 in deep and 45.00 in high. If the final load calculation hesitates between the two sizes, the space to reserve stays the same.

Published data

Maximum airflow: 758 CFM.

Sound levels: 39, 36 and 33 dB at maximum, medium and minimum speed.

Power supply: 208/230 V single phase, 60 Hz.

Connections: 3/8 in liquid, 3/4 in suction.

At 33 dB at minimum speed, the air handler stays quiet even near living areas, provided the grilles and ducts are properly sized.

Conditions and installation

Three points before ordering. The outdoor unit is not part of the purchase: we choose the matching Conforto model with you. The LogisVert grant does not apply to an air handler bought alone; it covers the certified outdoor unit + air handler pair, and we check eligibility when the quote covers the complete system. Finally, our data mentions no heater kit for this model: if electric backup heat interests you, we validate the option with Conforto.

A Montreal family business active for more than fifteen years, AirGreen holds RBQ licence 5645-9605-01 in ventilation, refrigeration and electrical work. We start with a free on-site estimate and a written quote.
