The SFE1521 installs there upflow, set against the wall with zero clearance. If the unit has to lie on its side, the horizontal configuration is provided for. In a building supplied at 208 V, the output drops to 11.2 kW and the amperage to 56 A. We always check this before choosing the output.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWith a central heat pump: Type A or Type B\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eStelpro states the SFE1521 is compatible with a heat pump installation and provides two ways to set it up. In Type A, the factory setting, the heat pump is placed downstream: when it is calling, the elements do not heat. In Type B, it is on the return side, and the furnace makes up for its loss of capacity when the cold sets in.
