hotte-murale-anti-rafale-avec-clapet-calfeutre
Gust-Resistant Wall Hood with Gasketed Damper

The gust-resistant wall hood with gasketed damper terminates a ventilation duct on the exterior wall. Its damper closes against a seal, and its gust-resistant design is meant to keep it from flapping in the wind. It is offered in an Exhaust version for venting and an Intake version for fresh air, in four finishes.

Less cold and fewer drafts through the ducts

A hood whose damper stays partly open or bangs in the wind lets cold air into the duct, all the way to the bathroom or the air exchanger. With a gasketed damper, the outlet stays closed when the unit is off, which matters in the depths of a Québec winter.

Choosing your hood in three steps

Size: 4, 5 or 6 in to match the round duct diameter, or 3-1/4 × 10 in for a rectangular duct.

Function: Exhaust for venting (bathroom, stale air), Intake for an air exchanger’s fresh air.

Finish: galvanized, white, brown or black, to suit the siding. Slope the exhaust duct toward the outside, insulate it if it passes through a cold space and seal around the hood to the siding with an exterior sealant.
