It installs vertically, in upflow or downflow. Its main tubes and fins are aluminum, with copper stubs for brazing on site, and it weighs 22.0 lb for shipping. The manufacturer’s brochure declares it compatible with an air conditioner as well as a heat pump.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhat \"uncased\" means for you\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe EAA4X18L14A arrives without a cabinet. It fits in the furnace plenum, or in a suitable casing when the existing plenum is not suitable. During the estimate, we measure the plenum and state in the quote whether a casing or transition is needed. That is also when we check the outdoor unit: Arcoaire does not publish a matching list for this coil, and the unit must run on R-410A.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eWhat to know about performance and the grant\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA coil sold alone has no efficiency rating of its own. Seasonal performance depends on the combination with the outdoor unit and the furnace. For the same reason, a coil bought alone does not qualify for the LogisVert grant.
