(45 cm) above any surface\u003c\/strong\u003e. That requirement covers two things. First, snow: on a roof as on the ground, it builds up and drifts with the wind, and a unit set too low risks having its outdoor coil blocked. Second, defrost water: in heating mode, the outdoor coil frosts over and the unit has to melt that frost at intervals. On the ground, that means avoiding the corners where snow piles up, downspout outlets and the spots where ice could get in the way of pedestrians. On a roof, we avoid the low areas where water sits in the spring.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eThe roof curb and the structure\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFor a rooftop installation, Kinghome publishes the dimensions of this unit's \u003cstrong\u003eroof curb\u003c\/strong\u003e. We start from those dimensions to prepare the location: position of the supply and return openings, sealing with the membrane, final height of the unit. When an older unit is already on the roof, we compare the existing curb with the Kinghome one before proposing an approach, and we coordinate the membrane work with your roofer as needed.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWeight is part of the planning too. The unit weighs 628 lb net and 650 lb gross, in a cabinet of 44 × 44 × 49-1\/4 in. (1,120 × 1,120 × 1,250 mm), W × D × H. That is why the 51,000 BTU\/h obtained at -15 °C exceeds the 34,000 BTU\/h of the rated capacity at -8.3 °C. As for the COP of 2.00, it means that at -15 °C the unit delivers two units of heating energy for every unit of electricity it consumes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThese values do not replace a load calculation.
