For the XN060, the YORK guide publishes separate capacity tables for a low speed and a high speed, with a nominal airflow of 1,275 CFM at low speed and 1,850 CFM at high speed. The double-inlet centrifugal indoor blower is dynamically balanced and mounted on sealed bearings, lubricated for life. This 24 in. direct-drive propeller fan discharges the air vertically. Its aluminum blades are riveted to a corrosion-resistant steel support and dynamically balanced, and its enclosed motor is protected against overloads.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eSide or bottom connection\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEvery XN model, including those fitted with an economizer, connects from the bottom or horizontally. For a bottom connection, we remove the sheet metal panels that close the supply and return openings in the base of the unit. For a side connection, which YORK calls horizontal, we remove the supply and return panels at the back of the unit. The bottom connection suits ducts that pass through the roof inside the base. The horizontal connection is used when the ducts come in through a wall, for example when the unit sits on a pad on the ground.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe power wiring enters at a single point, from the side or from underneath, through a 2 in. knockout. The control wiring has its own 7\/8 in. openings, also on the side and under the unit. Installed on the roof or on the ground, it connects to the building's ducts. No indoor mechanical room is required, which leaves the whole floor area for your operations. In winter, the heat pump reverses its cycle to heat. Every XN unit goes through automated factory tests of the refrigerant charge, the pressures, the current draw and all of its functions.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eBackup heat and electrical supply\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe XN060 delivers 51,500 BTU\/h of heating at 47 °F (8.3 °C) and 30,000 BTU\/h at 17 °F (-8.3 °C). In deep cold, \u003cstrong\u003eelectric backup heat\u003c\/strong\u003e supplements the heat pump. For this model in 208\/230 V, the YORK guide lists the E05 through E30 kits. The largest delivers 22.2 kW at 208 V and 29.6 kW at 230 V: the building's actual voltage therefore counts in the choice of kit.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWithout electric heat, the standard static pressure configuration calls for a circuit of at least 27.7 A (MCA) protected at 35 A maximum. Freeze thermostats on the suction line protect against loss of charge and coil frosting when the economizer runs in cool weather while the compressor is turning. The condensate pan, sloped inward, is designed to drain on its own in line with the ASHRAE 62 standard.
