A few passes of cloth bring the tube back to bright metal, where it will go into the fitting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eTwo roll lengths\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e10 yards\u003c\/strong\u003e (about 9.1 m): a handy size for the tool kit.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e25 yards\u003c\/strong\u003e (about 22.9 m): for the shop, the truck or large job sites.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003c\/ul\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe cloth backing wraps around the tube without tearing, so you can work all the way around a tube with a back-and-forth motion.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eCleaning properly without contaminating the line\u003c\/h3\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eClean only the part of the tube that will go into the fitting. Hold the opening downward so particles do not fall into the line: in a refrigerant circuit, they can clog a filter or an expansion valve. Wipe with a clean cloth, then do not touch the cleaned surface again.
