Midea heat pump installation in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie

In this project, located in a typical residential area of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie , we installed a Midea wall-mounted heat pump designed to provide four-season comfort while maximizing the energy efficiency of a brick house built in the 1950s–1970s. The outdoor unit visible in the photo is a compact, wall-mounted unit, typical of Midea installations in the Midea28 series – a reliable, high-performance series perfectly suited to the Montreal climate.

A Midea heat pump designed for Montreal winter comfort

The installed unit is a Midea wall-mounted heat pump , which we have paired here with the Midea28 (R-454B) range, extremely popular for its ability to maintain heating down to -30°C . This series combines:

  • high energy efficiency,

  • A stable heating system, appreciated in the middle of winter.

  • silent operation

  • and optimal compatibility with the realities of urban housing in Montreal.

The outdoor unit is compact, with a dark grey finish, and a large high-efficiency fan – a design very close to modern Midea condensers.

A clean, stable and durable installation

The installation carried out by our team highlights several important technical elements:

1. Reinforced wall bracket

The outdoor unit is mounted on a sturdy wall bracket , ideal for homes with high foundations or where the layout requires freeing up floor space. This mounting ensures:

  • better protection against snow,

  • a reduction in vibrations,

  • increased equipment lifespan.

2. Routing of conduits protected in trunking

The refrigerant lines, drain, and power supply are neatly concealed within a neutral-colored vertical trunking . This choice ensures:

  • a clean finish

  • mechanical protection against the elements,

  • easy access during future interviews.

3. Compliant and safe electrical connection

The electrical disconnect switch is clearly visible, mounted in the immediate vicinity of the unit, in accordance with code requirements. The installation is neat, stable, and carried out with rigid conduits suitable for a durable outdoor installation.

4. Clear ventilation and optimal location

The unit is installed at a sufficient distance from the wall and window, ensuring optimal airflow and maximum efficiency in both heating and cooling.

A result that met the owner's expectations

Thanks to this Midea heat pump installation, the homeowner now benefits from:

  • offering consistent comfort throughout the year,

  • a significant reduction in its energy consumption,

  • of a reliable system designed for Montreal's harsh climate,

  • of a neat, solid and aesthetic installation, typical of AirGreen's expertise.

At AirGreen, we pride ourselves on offering solutions tailored to each home, always with precise, safe and durable installation.
