Installation of a Fujitsu wall-mounted heat pump in a residence in Saint-Laurent

An HVAC installation project designed for comfort and aesthetics

At AirGreen , we know that every wall-mounted heat pump installation must be perfectly suited to our clients' living space. In this Saint-Laurent residence, the goal was to combine energy efficiency, lasting comfort, and aesthetic integration into a cathedral-ceilinged space. Our team therefore installed a Fujitsu wall-mounted heat pump , a choice renowned for its reliability and efficiency in the winter conditions of Greater Montreal.

Residence context and client needs

The home features a high-ceilinged living room and dining room, a configuration that can pose challenges in terms of air distribution. The owners were looking for a solution capable of maintaining a stable temperature while reducing their annual energy consumption. Their priority: a quiet, aesthetically pleasing unit eligible for Quebec subsidies for high-efficiency heat pumps.

Why a Fujitsu wall-mounted heat pump?

Fujitsu models are among the most reliable for Quebec's harsh winters. Their inverter technology ensures precise power modulation, avoiding unpleasant temperature fluctuations. In addition, they operate efficiently down to -26°C , an essential criterion for Saint-Laurent and the entire metropolitan area.

Benefits highlighted:

  • Efficient heating even in extremely cold weather.

  • Fast and even cooling in summer.

  • Very low noise level, ideal for living rooms.

  • Eligibility for grant programs such as LogisVert and Greener Homes.

Technical details of the installation

The indoor unit was strategically positioned high up, under the sloped ceiling, to optimize air circulation in the room. The wall-mounted installation required:

  • Targeted drilling in the exterior wall, ensuring discreet passage of refrigerant pipes.

  • Use of capping matching the color of the walls , guaranteeing elegant visual integration.

  • Condensate transport by gravity, thus avoiding the addition of a lifting pump.

  • Fixing the unit on a reinforced wall bracket, ensuring the stability of the device over time.

Outdoors, the compressor was installed on an insulated slab, away from traffic areas, while respecting the minimum clearance distances for optimal air circulation.

Challenges encountered and solutions provided

One of the major challenges was the significant height of the ceiling , which could complicate temperature uniformity. To address this, we:

  • Adjusted the angle of the supply louver to direct the conditioned/heated air to the main occupancy area.

  • Set the remote control to favor “swing” mode, ensuring better vertical air distribution.

  • Optimized duct insulation to avoid any loss of energy efficiency.

Results obtained

The end result is a discreet, modern, and efficient installation. Homeowners now benefit from:

  • Increased comfort in all seasons.

  • A significant reduction in their energy consumption , particularly compared to their old electric supplementary heating.

  • A reliable and sustainable solution, backed by the Fujitsu guarantee and AirGreen expertise.

Grants available

Thanks to the performance of this Fujitsu wall-mounted heat pump, the project is eligible for major grant programs in Greater Montreal. We assisted the clients in preparing their application, enabling them to benefit from significant financial assistance to recoup their investment.
