The photo shows the Gree outdoor unit , installed on a sturdy metal wall bracket at a good height above the ground. This installation method offers several advantages:

Clearance from snow and ice : by raising the unit, it is prevented from getting stuck in a snowbank or in meltwater.

Protection against standing water : the concrete/asphalt floor remains wet during air conditioning operation, but the unit is completely out of reach.

Good air circulation : the condenser is clear of the wall and floor, allowing the fan to operate at full efficiency.

Limited vibrations : the support is equipped with pads and suitable fixings to reduce noise transmitted to the structure.
We also note:

an electrical junction box installed in the immediate vicinity of the unit, conforming to the standards;

the refrigeration cables and connections passed through a protective sheath, then properly sealed in the masonry;
-
a repaired wall area around the pipe passage, ensuring a watertight seal and a clean finish.
This type of wall bracket mounting is particularly suited to the narrow alleys and courtyards of Montreal, where floor space is limited and uneven surfaces often have to be dealt with.
