At AirGreen , we are often called upon to work in specific architectural contexts. In this project in Outremont , our team installed a Gree wall-mounted heat pump in a room with a cathedral ceiling and skylights. These spaces offer undeniable charm, but pose a major challenge: temperature regulation.
Why a Gree wall-mounted heat pump was the best option
Houses with large volumes and sloped ceilings are particularly sensitive to temperature fluctuations. In winter, heat tends to rise quickly, and in summer, the greenhouse effect caused by glass roofs can make the air stifling.

Technical challenges encountered during installation
The installation in this house was not done without technical consideration:

Mounting height : The indoor unit had to be installed more than 3 meters above the ground, requiring secure scaffolding for our technicians.

Condensate management : With a cathedral ceiling, we opted for a discreet gravity drain, integrated into the load-bearing wall.

Respect for aesthetics : The refrigerant wiring has been carefully concealed under white capping to blend in with the decor.

Significant solar exposure : The unit has been positioned to optimize air circulation without being directly affected by rays coming from skylights.

Preliminary analysis : Calculation of thermal loads linked to glazed surfaces and the volume of the cathedral ceiling.
