    5. The narrowest side of the device should face the street.

5. Installation of a water heat pump

Water-source heat pumps are only permitted in closed circuits , in accordance with local environmental requirements. Any open system or system discharging water is strictly prohibited in the territory.

6. Rules relating to propane gas tanks and cylinders

Installations of above-ground tanks or cylinders must comply with the following provisions:

  • Location : side or rear yard only .

  • Maximum capacity :

    • 450 liters for a single-family home;

    • maximum of 3 tanks of 450 L each for multi-unit buildings.

  • Minimum distance : 2 m from any property boundary.

  • Base : mandatory installation on concrete slab .

  • Concealment : tank or cylinder not visible from the street, hidden by opaque fencing or conifers .

  • Maximum height : 3 m from finished ground level.

  • Front yard : prohibited, unless it does not correspond to the main facade (without encroaching on the setback margin).
