Why does an indoor pool need a dehumidifier?
Pool water evaporates all the time. Without dehumidification, moisture condenses on windows and inside walls, rusts structures and makes the air heavy. The dehumidifier pulls that water out of the air and keeps humidity steady.
Where does the heat taken from the air go?
It is recovered. The SDS series has a double-wall cupro-nickel coaxial condenser that can heat the pool water, and a reheat coil that returns heat to the air. With the air-conditioning option, the surplus is rejected outdoors.
Horizontal or vertical?
Both have the same capacity and the same electrical data. This model is the horizontal version. The choice depends on the mechanical room: the horizontal fits under a low ceiling, the vertical takes less floor space.
How do I know the SDS-036H is big enough?
We calculate the pool's evaporation: surface, water and air temperature, target humidity and type of use (residential, hotel, public). The tool above gives an estimate; we confirm on site.
What is not included with the unit?
Per the cutsheet: the filter holder, the supply duct connection and the outdoor air intake connection. Allow about 12 in for the filter rack, 1.5 in for the supply connection and 6 in for the outdoor air intake.
Why is there no price shown?
The price depends on voltage, options, ductwork, handling and access to the mechanical room. We price it after the on-site estimate, which is free.
