Move the arena temperature and humidity. Once the air's dew point rises above the ideal zone, air touching the ice condenses: fog, ceiling drips, soft ice.

Questions we hear often
Why does the arena fog up?
Humid air from the stands cools over the ice. Once it drops below its dew point, vapour condenses into droplets: that is fog. Lowering the air's dew point fixes it at the source.
Does a dehumidifier replace ventilation?
No. Ventilation brings the fresh air the code requires. The dehumidifier removes the moisture that fresh air, spectators and resurfacing add.
What conditions does the IRD-035F run in?
The Thermoplus cutsheet gives an operating range of 40 to 75 °F (4.4 to 23.9 °C). The coil is defrosted with hot gas on an electronic timer, and the stainless drain pan is heated.
How do I know the IRD-035F is big enough?
With a moisture load calculation: arena volume, spectators, ice schedule, resurfacing and fresh air. We do it during the on-site estimate.
What is the warranty?
Per the Thermoplus cutsheet: 1 year from start-up or 15 months from shipment. A 4-year extended compressor warranty is offered as an option.
Why is there no price shown?
The price depends on voltage, options, ductwork, handling and access to the mechanical room. We price it after the on-site estimate, which is free.
