The TurboTouch function raises exhaust capacity when extra airflow is needed for supplemental ventilation. It is an intermittent mode only, started by the RTS2 or RTS5 timers or the ECO-Touch control, for up to 60 minutes.

Because Turbo mode covers occasional needs, Fantech says the FLEX 100H can be selected on principal ventilation requirements alone, without oversizing the unit for exhaust peaks.

In cold weather, a motorized damper closes the outdoor air intake and recirculates indoor air through the core to thaw it. The house doesn't go into negative pressure during the cycle: no cold air drawn in through leaks, and none of the imbalance manufacturers warn about when there's a fireplace or a combustion appliance.
