About 45 litres of water turned into humidity in 24 hours. The control runs it to match the humidity you set: it rarely runs flat out, except in very cold weather.
Heat pumpBehind a heat pump, it produces less
It evaporates water from a pad using the heat of the air coming off the furnace. A heat pump blows cooler air, so it evaporates less. With a heat pump, talk to our estimator: depending on the manufacturer, we connect it to hot water or suggest a steam model instead.

The C version adds 24 in. of 6 in. bypass duct, 20 ft of thermostat wire, 20 ft of feed tubing, 10 ft of drain tubing and a saddle valve.

Honeywell HE105C1000/U: a bypass humidifier that ships with its installation kit
The HE105C1000/U is a Honeywell bypass humidifier that delivers 12 gal/day. It suits a home of about 1,400 sq ft by our estimate. It isn't part of the TrueEASE line: no automatic damper, simple operation.
Everything you need in the box
The C version adds the installation materials:
- 24 in. of 6 in. bypass duct and 20 ft of thermostat wire;
- 20 ft of feed tubing, 10 ft of drain tubing and a saddle valve;
- a valve that uses only 7 W at 24 V.
What we check before installing it
It needs water pressure from 40 to 120 psi, a drain nearby and a 24 V supply. We cut a 9 5/16 × 9 7/16 in. opening in the plenum. The HC22 pad is replaced once a year. Like any bypass humidifier, it produces less when the heating air is cooler, for example behind a heat pump. If that's your situation, a steam model is worth considering.
