About 45 litres of water turned into humidity in 24 hours. The control runs it to match the humidity you set: it rarely runs flat out, except in very cold weather.
Heat pumpBehind a heat pump, it produces less
It evaporates water from a pad using the heat of the air coming off the furnace. A heat pump blows cooler air, so it evaporates less. With a heat pump, talk to our estimator: depending on the manufacturer, we connect it to hot water or suggest a steam model instead.
AdvancedMotorized bypass damper
A TrueEASE 'Advanced' model: its damper closes on its own when the house doesn't need humidity. Resideo claims 30 to 50% water savings.
15 VAA larger transformer
The motorized damper draws 0.75 A at 24 V and needs a 15 VA transformer, instead of 10 VA for the Basic models.

Honeywell HE150C1014/U: the small TrueEASE with a motorized damper
The HE150C1014/U is a Honeywell TrueEASE bypass humidifier. It delivers 12 gal/day with 49 °C (120 °F) furnace air, for a home of about 1,400 sq ft by our estimate. It shares the cabinet of the HE100C1001/U, but it manages its own bypass.
'Advanced': the damper closes on its own
Its motorized bypass damper closes when the house doesn't need humidity. Resideo claims 30 to 50% water savings. It comes with the Honeywell HumidiPRO H6062 digital control. C is the Canadian version, shipped with the installation hardware.
Hookup and upkeep
The motorized damper draws 0.75 A at 24 V. It needs a 15 VA transformer, instead of 10 VA for the Basic models. The opening is 9 5/16 × 9 7/16 in. in the plenum, with a 6 in. bypass duct. It needs a water supply and a drain. The HC22A1007 pad, or the HC22E1003 antimicrobial pad, is replaced at least once a year. Its output is rated with 49 °C (120 °F) air: behind a heat pump it produces less, and a steam model is the safer choice.
