Honeywell HE300A1005/U Humidifier | Installation in Montreal, Laval, Longueuil, South Shore and North Shore
Is it the right size for your home?
It puts 18 gallons of water a day into the air (with 49 °C (120 °F) furnace air), enough to humidify about 2,100 sq ft (our estimate). Pick your home's living area.
It's the right size.
For a 900 to 1,500 sq ft house, it's within its range. It will run at part load on ordinary days and keep a reserve for the coldest days.
AirGreen estimate. Honeywell (Resideo) publishes no area in sq ft for this model, only a volume of 24,000 cu ft. For an average-construction home, we count 120 sq ft per gallon a day, the ratio in AprilAire's and Lennox's tables. Older or leaky house: go one size up; our estimator confirms it on site.
What it does, in numbers
Output: manufacturer's spec (18 gal/day, with 49 °C (120 °F) furnace air).
What you should know about this one
Published, verifiable figures, not brochure claims.
18 galWhat it produces per day, at full output
About 68 litres of water turned into humidity in 24 hours. The control runs it to match the humidity you set: it rarely runs flat out, except in very cold weather.
Heat pumpBehind a heat pump, it produces less
It evaporates water from a pad using the heat of the air coming off the furnace. A heat pump blows cooler air, so it evaporates less. With a heat pump, talk to our estimator: depending on the manufacturer, we connect it to hot water or suggest a steam model instead.
0 ductNo bypass duct
Built-in fan on 120 V (1 A): no bypass duct. It handles up to 0.4 in. of water column in the plenum, against 0.3 in. for the bypass models.
18 galThe highest output in the TrueEASE line
18 gal/day, the top of the TrueEASE range, with the same large HC26 pad as the HE200 and HE250.
13½ in.The opening it needs
A 13½ × 14 1/16 in. opening in the supply plenum.
ControlThe control that comes with it
Honeywell HumidiPRO H6062 digital control.
UpkeepWhat gets replaced, and when
HC26A1008 pad (or HC26E1004 antimicrobial), replace at least once a year.
35%The humidity to aim for in winter, at most
At −7 °C, no more than 35%; at −18 °C, no more than 25%. Above that, the moisture condenses on the windows. The control adjusts for you if it has an outdoor sensor.
5 yearsThe parts warranty
Parts are covered for 5 years by the manufacturer. We register the warranty in your name at start-up.

Honeywell HE300A1005/U: the fan-powered TrueEASE, 18 gal/day with no bypass
The HE300A1005/U is a fan-powered humidifier from the TrueEASE line. It delivers 18 gal/day with 49 °C (120 °F) furnace air, for a home of about 2,100 sq ft by our estimate.
A built-in fan instead of a duct
- Its 120 V fan (1 A) pushes air through the pad: no bypass duct to install.
- It handles up to 0.4 in. of water column in the plenum, against 0.3 in. for the bypass models.
- At 18 gal/day, it's the highest-output TrueEASE. It uses the same large HC26 pad as the HE200 and HE250.
Installation and upkeep
It mounts on the supply plenum, with a 13½ × 14 1/16 in. opening. It needs 120 V for the fan, a water supply and a drain. The Honeywell HumidiPRO H6062 digital control is supplied. The HC26A1008 pad, or the HC26E1004 antimicrobial pad, is replaced at least once a year. The fan doesn't change this: its output is rated with 49 °C (120 °F) furnace air, and behind a heat pump it produces less.
