A Challenge Overcome: The Tale of an Unconventional Installation
In the heart of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie, Montreal, our team at AirGreen faced one of our most challenging installations yet. But as always, we were determined to provide our customer with the best solution without compromising on quality or benefits.
The Dilemma
The customer's space constraints posed a significant challenge. The Gree Unix electric furnace, a state-of-the-art piece of equipment, simply wouldn't fit. We were presented with three options:
- Abandon the installation.
- Opt for a smaller furnace, sacrificing the $5000 federal grant.
- Find an innovative solution.
The first two options were immediately dismissed. Our commitment to our customers meant we had to find a way to make it work.
The Innovative Solution
After consulting with engineers from Gree, we devised a plan to separate the furnace into two halves, allowing it to fit within the limited vertical space available. This was no small feat. The Gree Unix Ultra Heat central electric furnace is renowned for its energy efficiency, operating even in extreme climates and offering up to 70% energy savings compared to traditional systems.
With the guidance of Gree's experts and our top HVAC technician, Luis, we embarked on this unique installation journey. Our dedication didn't stop there. We liaised with RenoClimat representatives to ensure our tailored adjustments would still make the system eligible for the federal grant.
The Outcome
The result? A perfectly installed Gree Unix central system, split into two halves, fitting seamlessly into the customer's space. Not only was the customer ecstatic, but we also ensured they remained eligible for the $5000 "Greener Homes Grant".
