Indicative amounts: Hydro-Québec sets them when you apply. Our LogisVert guide
The 5-ton qualifies for $4,440: 37,000 BTU/h at -8 °C, so 37 × $120 per 1,000 BTU/h, the highest amount of any Zephyr unit in our shop.Source: Hydro-Québec, LogisVert tool (Oct. 6, 2026), AHRI 215381148.

The same system heats in winter and cools in summer, by moving heat instead of making it. Pick a mode: the air and refrigerant follow the path.
Red: warm air and hot refrigerant. Dashes move in the direction of the air.
Per Natural Resources Canada, 300,000 heat pumps were shipped to Canada in 2021, 20% more than gas furnaces.Source: Natural Resources Canada, “Electric heat pumps” page (modified Dec. 3, 2025).
At -15 °C, more than 2 kWh of heat per kWh.
The four Zephyr pairs keep a COP of 2.15 to 2.52 at -15 °C per ENERGY STAR. An electric furnace stays at 1. The rate panel gives the electricity prices that matter for an electrically heated home.
COP at -15 °C (5 °F), ENERGY STAR; resistance: 100% (US DOE).
Hydro-Québec, 2026 rate grid. Flex D events: 6 to 10 a.m. or 4 to 8 p.m., from December 1 to March 31, at most 120 hours per winter. Rate DT is for dual-energy systems; a central heat pump can be the electric side.
The 4-ton has the series’ best COP at -15 °C: 2.52, so 2.52 kWh of heat for each kWh of electricity.Source: ENERGY STAR, AHRI 215381147.
Rate DT, degree by degree.
Hydro-Québec’s Rate DT is for dual-energy systems: a main electric source, such as a central heat pump, and a backup fuel (natural gas, oil, propane or pellets) that must be able to heat the home in deep cold. With a fuel-burning furnace, the ZE-6xxHPA pairs with a cased coil, at lower ratings; the LogisVert amount of these pairs has not been verified. Slide the temperature.
Above the threshold: low electricity price.
Above the threshold: low electricity price.
Rate DT, Hydro-Québec grid as of April 1, 2026: 5.131¢/kWh above -12 or -15 °C depending on the region, 30.001¢/kWh below. For comparison, Rate D is 7.065 then 11.142¢/kWh. Hydro-Québec’s page does not say which regions use -12 or -15 °C: we check it for your address.

Oil and combustion: what the rules say.
A central heat pump connects to the existing ducts, with the Zephyr air handler or, if you keep your furnace, a cased coil. Before replacing a heating appliance, here are the rules that apply in Quebec.
It connects to the duct system, with the Zephyr AH-6xxA air handler or, if you keep your furnace, a cased coil. From 2 to 5 tons.

- Since December 31, 2023, it has been prohibited to install an oil appliance in an existing home, or to replace one with a fossil-fuel appliance, gas or propane included.
- In Montreal, combustion heating appliances are banned in new buildings (small buildings: October 1, 2024; others: April 1, 2025).
- The Chauffez vert program has not accepted applications since March 31, 2026.
- Per the RBQ, subclass 15.10 covers forced-air heating-cooling appliances if the contractor also holds 15.1, 15.1.1, 15.7 or 15.8: AirGreen holds 15.8, 15.10 and 16.

For a heat pump or air conditioner bought new from a merchant on or after October 5, 2026, Quebec law adds a free, automatic 6-year warranty of good working order, counted from delivery (Office de la protection du consommateur). Under TTI’s parts policy (v3.4, July 17, 2026), labour to replace a part during that period falls on the installing contractor.
Service or repair by anyone not certified and authorized by TTI (or Kinghome) ends the manufacturer’s conventional warranty (TTI, s. 4.4).
If something breaks, you call the contractor who installed it; they file the claim with TTI.
TTI’s policy asks owners to clean the indoor unit filters at least once a month (s. 6.3).

We calculate it during the visit, based on the home and the ducts. One ton equals 12,000 BTU/h. The Zephyr pairs go from 2 to 5 tons.
Down to -30 °C per the series 6 manual; it cools from -15 to 52 °C. ENERGY STAR certifies its heat at -15 °C: 20,800 to 42,000 BTU/h depending on tonnage.
With the AH-6xxA air handler: $2,448 (2 tons), $3,840 (3), $4,392 (4) and $4,440 (5), per Hydro-Québec’s tool (Oct. 6, 2026). With a cased coil, the amount has not been verified; we confirm it on the quote.
Yes. With an existing furnace, the ZE-6xxHPA pairs with a DC cased coil (Aspen, per TTI; AHRI 218160013 to 218160016), certified at lower ratings (16 to 16.5 SEER2, 8.2 to 8.3 HSPF2) and without meeting the “Most Efficient” criteria. The LogisVert amount of these pairs has not been verified; we confirm it on the quote. An oil furnace can stay as backup, but it can no longer be replaced by a fossil-fuel appliance, nor repaired if it is over 20 years old. We check the furnace and ducts during the visit.
ENERGY STAR certifies it at 32,000 BTU/h of cooling, and the 5-ton at 57,000. We always give you the certified figure.
They are previous-generation models, on quote. TTI publishes no sheet for these model numbers; we confirm every figure and availability on the quote.
Since December 31, 2023, it has been prohibited to replace an oil appliance with a fossil-fuel appliance. A central heat pump with electric backup is an option; Chauffez vert has not accepted applications since March 31, 2026.
Hydro-Québec’s dual-energy rate: a main electric source, such as a central heat pump, and a backup fuel. Electricity costs 5.131¢/kWh above -12 or -15 °C depending on the region, and 30.001¢/kWh below (grid as of April 1, 2026).
For LogisVert, yes: installing indoor units or ducts outside the insulated envelope is not eligible. We look at the route during the visit.
