Arriving at the cottage to find a room already warm, warming up the house before getting home from a trip, making sure from the office that the heat pump is holding up in the dead of a January cold snap: that is what the GENERAL AIRSTAGE UTY-TFSXH4 Wi-Fi module makes possible. It is identical to the module sold under the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE name, since Fujitsu General Limited adopted the name GENERAL Inc. on January 1, 2026 without changing its range. Designed for AIRSTAGE (GENERAL or Fujitsu) wall-mounted heat pumps, it plugs into the indoor unit's USB port and links the unit to the AIRSTAGE Mobile app on your phone.

Same manufacturer, same factories, same model numbers: only the name has changed, following the company's acquisition by Paloma Rheem Holdings. Until the Fujitsu brand has fully given way to GENERAL, both versions of the module will sit side by side on the market. Your wall-mounted heat pump at your fingertips

The UTY-TFSXH4 is a plug-in adapter: no separate housing, no hub and no gateway. The indoor unit powers it directly, and it joins the home's 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network (IEEE 802.11b/g/n, channels 1 to 11 in Canada). In the app, you find everything the remote does: on and off, mode, temperature, fan speed and airflow direction, with the one difference that you can do it from anywhere.

The app is also used to build weekly schedules and timers, check the indoor and outdoor temperature, control several units as a group and grant access levels to family members or staff. For voice control, the module works with Amazon Alexa and Google Home, and its firmware updates over the Internet.

One module for each unit

The UTY-TFSXH4 is meant for wall-mounted models only, including the ASUG, ASUH and ASLH series (ASUH09LMAS, ASUH24LPAS, ASUH36KPAS, among others). You need one per indoor unit: a house with three wall-mounted heads will need three modules. For a ducted unit, a cassette or a floor console, the manufacturer offers a different module, the UTY-TFSXJ4. As for the AIRSTAGE Mobile app, it runs on phones with iOS 15 or later and Android 8.0 or later; it does not support tablets.

Savings and peace of mind all winter

On a wall-mounted heat pump, weekly schedules let you lower the setpoint a little at night or during working hours, then return to comfort at the time you choose. At a secondary residence, remote control avoids heating full blast all week: you keep a moderate temperature and raise the setpoint a few hours before arriving. Seeing the outdoor temperature in the app also helps you understand how the unit behaves when the mercury plunges.

Access levels come in handy in a duplex, an intergenerational home or a small business: the owner keeps all the settings, and the other users only have the everyday functions. Thanks to group control, every wall-mounted unit in the house adjusts in one move: handy, for example, to lower the setpoint everywhere before leaving on vacation.

Installation and pairing, done by AirGreen

Our technicians first make sure that your wall-mounted unit is one of the compatible models. They then plug the module into the USB port and measure the Wi-Fi signal strength where the indoor unit sits, because a weak signal near an exterior wall or in the basement is common. Next, they pair the module with AIRSTAGE Mobile and create your first schedules with you. On request, we also set up access for the other members of the household and the link with Alexa or Google Home.

Maintenance

As for the module, it needs no maintenance at all. A new router or a new Wi-Fi password only means redoing the pairing in the app. What remains essential is regular cleaning of the wall-mounted unit's filters, for performance as well as for air quality.
