Warranty5 years

The Bosch Connected Control BCC100 is a Wi-Fi thermostat with a 5 in. colour touch screen designed for 24 V central systems. It controls up to 4 heating and 2 cooling stages with a heat pump, and up to 2 heating and 2 cooling stages with a conventional system. It also manages one humidity accessory: a humidifier or a dehumidifier.

At AirGreen, we mostly install it with central heat pumps and electric furnaces, for homeowners who want a clear wall control and their settings at hand on their phone.

A readable screen and remote control

The 854 x 480 pixel touch screen shows the setpoint, the mode and the current schedule. Modes are Heat, Cool, Auto, Off and Emergency Heat, with the fan set to Auto, On or Circulate. The thermostat connects to 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi (not 5 GHz) and is controlled with the Bosch Connected Control app, which accepts an unlimited number of thermostats.

Schedules and vacation mode

Up to 4 schedules can be set per thermostat, and vacation mode holds a lower setpoint while you are away. In winter, lowering the setpoint at night and while the home is empty is one of the simplest ways to cut heating use.

Temperature and humidity

The setpoint ranges from 7 to 37 °C, with ±0.5 °C accuracy. The humidity sensor displays 0 to 100% relative humidity (±5%) and the humidity setpoint ranges from 30 to 90%. An adjustable anti-short-cycle delay, from 1 to 5 minutes, protects the compressor.

Installation and set-up by AirGreen

The BCC100 requires a C wire for its 24 V power. In older homes, the thermostat cable sometimes has only two or three conductors: our technicians check the wiring and add a conductor if needed. They then set the equipment type, the heating and cooling stages, the backup and emergency heat in heat pump mode and the humidity accessory, connect the thermostat to Wi-Fi and program your first schedules with you.

Which homes it suits

The BCC100 suits homes heated by a central heat pump with electric backup, by an electric furnace with central air, or by a Bosch water-source heat pump, whose fault messages it displays. It is not meant for 120 or 240 V electric baseboards, which need a line-voltage thermostat.
