Repair of a Samsung wall-mounted heat pump in Boisbriand

A service call on a flat roof in the middle of summer

  1. Replace the flare with a new fitting , with precise cutting and flaring.

  2. Apply high pressure sealant .

  3. Pull a complete vacuum from the circuit for 45 minutes at -30 inHg.

  4. Recharge the system with the exact amount of refrigerant recommended by Samsung, in grams.

Condenser cleaning and restarting

Once the repair was completed, our technician undertook a complete cleaning of the condenser .
Conditions on flat roofs often favor:

  • Accumulation of dust and fine gravel on the fins,

  • Partial obstruction of airflow,

  • And sometimes even compressor overheating.

Using a low-pressure water jet and a pH-neutral cleaner, the heat exchanger fins were thoroughly cleaned, thus optimizing heat exchange.

Upon restart, measurements confirmed:

  • Balanced pressure on the high and low sides.

  • A blowing temperature of 6.3°C inside.

  • Perfect stability of the Inverter regime , a sign that the compressor was modulating efficiently again.

Result: restored comfort and optimized performance

Thanks to this intervention, the Samsung heat pump returned to optimal operation. The client, the building manager, immediately noticed an improvement in the indoor temperature and a reduction in operating noise.
