Repair of a Sanyo wall-mounted heat pump in Saint-Constant

A breakdown at the start of the cold season

When a Sanyo wall-mounted heat pump stops working as winter approaches, indoor comfort can quickly be compromised. This is exactly what happened in a single-family home in Saint-Constant , on Montreal's South Shore. Once the components were replaced and the system closed, the heat pump restarted normally. The compressor returned to smooth operation without abnormal noise, and the outdoor fan resumed stable rotation.

The indoor blown air temperature was measured at 41°C , confirming the full heating capacity of the system.

Maintenance tips to extend lifespan

As is often the case with older Sanyo units, regular maintenance is essential to avoid electrical breakdowns. Our recommendations to the customer included:

  • Annual preventive maintenance including complete cleaning of the coil and checking of electrical connections.
