A rigorous winter installation for four-season comfort
At AirGreen , we know that a successful central heat pump installation relies on careful preparation, proven technical expertise, and perfect adaptation to site conditions. This is exactly what our team achieved during this installation of a CanAir heat pump in a single-family residence in Sainte-Adèle , in the heart of the Laurentians, during the height of winter.
The context: performance and reliability in the heart of winter
Our clients, owners of a charming stone house typical of the region, wanted to replace their old heating system with a modern, energy-efficient and sustainable solution. The harsh climate of Sainte-Adèle required a machine capable of providing stable heating down to -30°C , while ensuring optimal comfort in summer.
Our recommendation: a CanAir central heat pump , recognized for its energy efficiency and robustness in northern environments.
Site preparation: rigor and adaptation
The installation was carefully planned despite the challenging weather conditions. The heavy snow didn't slow our team down: we protected the work area with an insulated umbrella to prevent moisture from entering during the electrical and refrigeration connections.
The outdoor compressor was placed on a raised solid slab to prevent any accumulation of ice or meltwater, a key point for the durability of the system .
The pipes were carefully routed along the stone wall, with white protective capping ensuring both aesthetics and protection against the elements . The refrigeration connections were carried out to the highest standards, then checked using a pressure manifold to ensure the circuit was perfectly sealed.
