In Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines, a client wanted to install a Gree Lomo 12,000 BTU wall-mounted air conditioner in his sugar shack... in the middle of May! The air was sweet with the scent of maple, and during the installation, a squirrel came to “sample” the temporary wiring. Thankfully, our technicians secured the cables, relocated the indoor unit for optimal airflow despite the rustic beams, and finished the install in just 4 hours. The result: a fully air-conditioned sugar shack, ready to welcome visitors all year long.
2. A heat pump installed… above a koi pond
In Blainville, a family passionate about aquaponics had installed a fish pond right under the wall where their Fujitsu KZ 18,000 BTU wall-mounted heat pump was to be installed. We had to improvise a suspended platform, without scaffolding, over the water! Our experts used a harness system to safely complete the installation without disturbing the koi fish. A challenge successfully handled, showing our ability to adapt to any environment.
3. The cat who locked himself in with the indoor unit
In Mascouche, during a routine HVAC maintenance, the customer’s cat snuck into the utility room while the technician was working. After 15 minutes of searching, the tech tested the indoor unit of the Sharp ZU1 15,000 BTU, only to see two curious eyes peeking out from the casing... The cat had crawled behind the cover to enjoy the cool air! Since then, we always double-check that our feline friends aren't hiding before closing up the units.
4. The nighttime installation for a couple of night-shift workers
In Boisbriand, a couple of nurses working night shifts couldn’t have anyone over during the day. We adjusted our schedule to install a Daikin 12,000 BTU heat pump from 8PM to midnight, in the middle of August. Quiet, equipped with LED lights and sound-dampening gear, we completed the install without waking a single neighbour. A personalized service, right at the heart of our mission.
5. A customer moved by the recovery of her old unit
In Saint-Eustache, an elderly woman told us that her old air conditioner, a vintage 1989 model, had been a gift from her late husband. Our technicians carefully dismantled the unit, cleaned the fins, and reinstalled it in her shed as a symbolic keepsake, while replacing the unit with a brand-new energy-efficient Gree Bora 9,000 BTU. 6. The condo that was only accessible… via the neighbour’s balcony
In Laval, the installation of a Zephyr 12,000 BTU wall-mounted air conditioner seemed straightforward. But the condo was on the third floor, no elevator, and the outdoor hallway was closed off for renovations. We got permission from the neighbour downstairs and hoisted the outdoor unit with a winch, over the railing. An acrobatic maneuver, but perfectly executed.
7. A surprise in the wall: an active wasp nest
In Mirabel, while drilling to anchor the indoor unit, our technicians heard a buzzing noise... it was an active wasp nest lodged in the wall insulation! We immediately halted the installation, called in a pest control team, and returned two days later to finish installing the Bosch Climate 5000. Safety first, even when wasps crash the party.
8. The air-conditioned floating house
Yes, you read that right. In Laval-Ouest, we installed a Fujitsu 9,000 BTU R-32 unit in a floating house. The floor wasn’t entirely stable, and we had to recalibrate our levels at every step. The result? A perfectly air-conditioned floating home, with a system optimized for high-humidity environments.
9. An installation during an ice storm
In winter, in Deux-Montagnes, despite a serious ice storm, the client refused to postpone his installation. Thanks to our truck equipped with studded tires, our technicians braved the icy roads to install a Mitsubishi Zuba 18,000 BTU wall-mounted heat pump in less than 5 hours. Immediate heating was activated as soon as the system was up and running. Proof of our dedication, no matter the weather.
10. The surprise party mid-installation
Lastly, in Bois-des-Filion, a family had requested an installation on a Saturday. What we didn’t know was that they were also throwing a surprise birthday party that day. Between the decorations, music and kids running around, we worked efficiently — and even got to taste some cake!
