Mysa smart thermostats in Montréal: one model for each kind of heating
Mysa doesn’t make one universal thermostat. It makes one per system: baseboards, floor heating, mini-split heat pumps and 24 V central. So the right choice starts with what heats the room, not with the thermostat.

What heats the room?
Pick the system, then answer the one question that decides compatibility. The answers come from Mysa’s guides.

Both: 120/240 V, 16 A, up to 1,900 W at 120 V and 3,800 W at 240 V. Mysa no longer sells these two models on its website; availability on quotation.
The deciding question
Are there at least four wires in the current thermostat’s electrical box?
Compatible. Mysa asks for four or more wires in the box. It suits baseboards, convectors, electric fan-forced heaters and radiant panels.
Not as is. With only two wires, Mysa says the thermostat cannot power itself. We look at the wiring on site, during the estimate.
Not compatible according to Mysa: heaters controlled by a dial on the unit, 24 V low voltage, hydronic baseboards, gas, three-phase 208 V.

The deciding question
Is the floor circuit free of any GFCI breaker (the protection sits in the current thermostat)?
Compatible. Mysa replaces a Class A GFCI thermostat; its Class A protection is built in.
Not as is. Mysa says not to install it on a circuit already protected by a GFCI breaker. It doesn’t replace a Class B GFCI thermostat either.
Not compatible: hydronic (hot water) floors. One thermostat must not control both the floor and a baseboard.

The deciding question
Does your remote’s screen show the temperature, the mode and the fan speed at the same time?
Compatible. That is the “full-state” remote Mysa asks for. Compatibility also depends on the unit’s infrared code set.
Not as is. Mysa isn’t compatible with a wired wall controller only, an RF or Bluetooth remote, or a remote without a screen or that only shows the temperature.
Good to know: Mysa doesn’t set below 16 °C and doesn’t handle the unit’s freeze protection.

The deciding question
Is there a C (common) wire at the current thermostat?
Compatible. The central Mysa needs that C wire for its 24 V power.
Not as is. Mysa offers a C-wire adapter. We check the wiring and the system on site; included or not: on quotation.
Not compatible according to Mysa: line-voltage systems (baseboards) and proprietary communicating systems. No ACC/HUM terminals.

None of the five Mysa we sell targets this case
The baseboard and floor Mysa exclude hydronic and gas heating. A central gas system works with the central Mysa (24 V). For anything else, we look at it together during the estimate.

At 10 °C: the baseboard and floor Mysa accept it; the mini-split model doesn’t, its minimum is 16 °C.
Ranges read in Mysa’s spec sheets and help centre on October 14, 2026. The floor model caps at 30 °C by default; 40 °C on tile or stone, depending on the floor type chosen in the app.

ENERGY STAR
Central Mysa only
The central Mysa ST-V1-0 is ENERGY STAR certified (October 17, 2025, US and Canadian markets). The other four Mysa aren’t on the list.
Énergir
$100 · central Mysa
Énergir’s PEE-204 list (valid from April 1, 2026) names the central Mysa ST-V1-0 at $100. Énergir’s conditions: Énergir residential customers, at most 75% of the cost, one thermostat per heating system, apply within 30 days of purchase.
Hilo
Up to $110 per device
Hilo, a Hydro-Québec subsidiary, names Mysa among compatible brands and advertises a bonus of up to $110 per device (up to $1,100 in total), with the Flex D rate. Eligible models and the agreement’s conditions are confirmed by Hilo.
LogisVert
Doesn’t apply
Hydro-Québec’s LogisVert program doesn’t cover thermostats (program page, October 2026).

The questions we get about Mysa
No question matches. Write or call us.
Which Mysa for electric baseboards?
The Mysa V2 or the Mysa LITE. Both handle 16 A at 120/240 V; the V2 adds touch controls, humidity and energy use tracking. Mysa asks for four or more wires in the box.
Does the baseboard Mysa work with two wires?
No. According to Mysa, a two-wire setup can’t power the thermostat. We check the wiring on site.
Does the mini-split Mysa work with my heat pump?
If there’s an infrared remote whose screen shows the temperature, the mode and the fan speed, that’s a good sign; compatibility also depends on the unit’s infrared code set. Wired wall controller only, RF or Bluetooth: not compatible.
Why won’t the mini-split Mysa go below 16 °C?
That’s the range Mysa publishes: 16 to 30 °C. Mysa doesn’t handle the unit’s freeze protection either.
Does the floor Mysa replace any floor thermostat?
It replaces a Class A GFCI thermostat, on a circuit without a GFCI breaker. It doesn’t replace a Class B GFCI thermostat and doesn’t suit hydronic floors.
Does the central Mysa need a C wire?
Yes, it’s powered at 24 V through the C wire. Mysa offers an adapter when there isn’t one.
Is the central Mysa compatible with a central heat pump?
Mysa lists it as compatible with heat pumps with auxiliary heat, up to 3 heating and 2 cooling stages, but not with proprietary communicating systems.
Which Mysa are ENERGY STAR?
Only the central Mysa ST-V1-0, according to the ENERGY STAR list checked on October 14, 2026.
Is there a rebate for a Mysa?
Énergir: $100 for the central Mysa, for its residential customers (at most 75% of the cost). Hilo: up to $110 per device according to Hilo, with the Flex D rate. LogisVert: no, the program doesn’t cover thermostats.
What’s the Mysa warranty?
5 years from purchase, for every model, when bought from Mysa or an authorized dealer. Not transferable; removal and reinstallation costs are excluded.
Are the Mysa V2 and LITE still made?
As of October 14, 2026, Mysa no longer sells them on its website, where a Gen3 model has replaced them. Availability: on quotation.
