Sinopé thermostats: one model per kind of heating, on Wi-Fi or Zigbee

Sinopé, from Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, makes a thermostat for each kind of heater: baseboards, fan-forced heaters, heated floors, 24 V and central heat pumps, plus a kit that keeps a wall unit and a baseboard from working against each other. Pick your heating: you see the model, its maximum load, its connection and the bonus Hilo publishes for it.

01 · Which Sinopé for which heating

Heating first, then connection and wiring

Sinopé does not make a “universal” thermostat: each model has its heaters, its wiring and its load. Three questions are enough to rule out the ones that do not fit, with Sinopé’s own reason.

1. Heating
2. Connection
3. Wires in the wall box

Baseboards and convectors

These models fit:

Above 3,000 W at 240 V, only the TH1134ZB-HC (among our stand-alone thermostats) goes up to 4,000 W. Run the numbers in section 02.

Add up your watts: which baseboard thermostat can carry the load?

Every line-voltage thermostat has a minimum and a maximum load published by Sinopé: the total load must fall between the two. Enter the watts printed on your baseboards.

03 · Wi-Fi or Zigbee

How many thermostats? The answer decides the network

Both work in Sinopé’s Neviweb app. The difference: on Wi-Fi, each thermostat talks to your router; on Zigbee, they go through a GT130 gateway and relay for each other.

8 thermostats
Wi-Fi

8 connections on your Wi-Fi

  • Each thermostat connects straight to the router, on 2.4 GHz.
  • No gateway to buy or plug in.
  • Sinopé: convenient for a few devices.
Zigbee

1 GT130 gateway for 8 devices

  • The GT130 plugs into the router with an Ethernet cable; 63 devices at most per GT130.
  • Mains-powered devices relay the signal (mesh network).
  • For Hilo, a Zigbee thermostat is linked to the GT130, not the Hilo hub (Hilo still requires its hub).

Wi-Fi and Zigbee live in the same Neviweb app, but they do not talk to each other directly (Sinopé).

05 · Central and heat pump

Pro Lite or Pro: it all comes down to the C wire

Many old furnace thermostats only have two wires. The TH6250WF-PRO needs the common wire (C); the TH6500WF does without it thanks to its TB6500 module mounted near the equipment.

Hilo$150$150
Énergir (gas central heating)$100$100

Two programs, two conditions: Hilo targets electric heating as the main source, Énergir a central natural-gas system. We do not add them up.

Do not mix them up: the TH1400WF and TH1400ZB are 24 V too, but Sinopé rules out air conditioning and heat pumps, and they do not control the fan. They are for relays, hydronic heating and furnaces without fan control.

06 · Wall heat pump + baseboards

The kit that stops the baseboard from heating while the wall unit cools

In a room with a wall unit and a baseboard, the two can work against each other. Sinopé’s HP6000ZB-MA-K3 kit links them: 1 GT130 gateway, 1 wall mount, 1 interface for a Midea wall unit and 1 TH1124ZB thermostat, paired at the factory.

Wall unit heating, fan or offthe baseboard may heat without fighting the wall unit
Setpoint changed by hand while coolingthe baseboard heats briefly, then stops within 30 minutes at most
Interface or wall unit failurethe baseboard may heat, for safety

The interface plugs into the port under the wall unit’s cover; Sinopé asks for a qualified professional for the interface and an electrician for the thermostat. Internet is not required (only for the Neviweb app). This kit does not give the heat pump priority: that is a different Sinopé solution, with a subscription. Compatible Midea wall units: on quotation. Sinopé also makes kits for GREE and Hisense (HP6000ZB-GE-K3, HP6000ZB-HS-K3), which are not in our store: on quotation.

  • Québec, regulation N-1.01, r. 1: since August 15, 2017, a 120 to 240 V thermostat switching resistive heating must meet CSA C828 (floor-only thermostats are excluded).
  • Canada, SOR/2025-110: wall-mounted line-voltage thermostats made on or after July 1, 2026 fall under the Energy Efficiency Regulations (CSA C828-19).
  • Sinopé’s 2026 fact sheets for the line-voltage models state CSA C828-19; the TH1310WF states UL 943 and CSA C22.2 No. 144.1 (GFCI).

10 · FAQ

Common questions about Sinopé thermostats

Which Sinopé thermostat for an electric baseboard?

The TH1143WF (Wi-Fi) or the TH1123ZB (Zigbee), on 2 or 4 wires, up to 3,000 W at 240 V. The TH1133WF needs 3 wires. Above 3,000 W, the TH1134ZB-HC goes up to 4,000 W, with a neutral.

Can I put a TH1143WF on a fan-forced heater?

No. Sinopé says it is not compatible with fan-forced heaters. Take the TH1133WF (one fan-forced heater per thermostat, 500 W minimum) or a Zigbee TH1123ZB or TH1134ZB-HC.

Wi-Fi or Zigbee: which one?

According to Sinopé, Wi-Fi is convenient for a few devices, with no gateway. Zigbee suits larger setups better: one GT130 gateway over Ethernet, up to 63 devices, in a mesh network.

Can Wi-Fi and Zigbee thermostats talk to each other?

They live in the same Neviweb app, but Sinopé says they do not communicate directly with each other.

Are Sinopé thermostats compatible with Hilo?

Yes: Hilo lists the 9 Sinopé thermostats we offer. Zigbee models must be linked to a GT130 gateway (not the Hilo hub). The HP6000ZB-MA-K3 kit is not on the list.

How much does Hilo give per Sinopé thermostat?

According to Hilo: $90 (TH1133WF), $110 (TH1143WF, TH1123ZB, TH1134ZB-HC), $210 (TH1310WF) and $150 (TH1400WF, TH1400ZB, TH6250WF-PRO, TH6500WF). At most 10 line-voltage and 2 low-voltage thermostats per address.

Are Sinopé thermostats ENERGY STAR certified?

No. No Sinopé model is in the ENERGY STAR smart thermostat list (updated Oct. 19, 2026), and the program excludes line-voltage thermostats.

Does LogisVert pay for a thermostat?

Not in the residential stream: the LogisVert guide v1.10 (Sept. 15, 2026) does not cover thermostats. The low-income stream offers free installation of smart thermostats, but its 2026-2027 registrations are closed.

My furnace has only two wires, no C wire: what now?

The TH6500WF works without a C wire: two wires are enough between the thermostat and its TB6500 module, mounted near the equipment. The TH6250WF-PRO needs the C wire.

Can the TH1400WF control my heat pump?

No. Sinopé rules out air conditioning and heat pumps, and the TH1400 does not control the fan. For a central heat pump: TH6250WF-PRO or TH6500WF.

What is Sinopé’s warranty?

3 years from purchase, limited to replacing the product (installation and shipping excluded). For a TH6500WF or TH6250WF-PRO bought from and installed by a professional, Sinopé states a Pro warranty of 5 or 6 years, depending on the document.

A wall unit and a baseboard in the same room: how do I stop them fighting?

With the HP6000ZB-MA-K3 kit (Midea wall units): when the wall unit cools, the baseboard thermostat stops; in heat, fan or off, the baseboard may heat. It works without Internet.

My heated floor draws more than 15 A: what now?

The TH1310WF switches up to 15 A (3,600 W at 240 V). Above that, Sinopé uses the TR1310 expansion unit, which is not in our store: on quotation.
