WashableA 3-hour soak cleans the heat recovery core
At the annual service, the G3000HE's polypropylene core is cleaned by soaking it for 3 hours in lukewarm soapy water, then rinsing it. A Gold Series ERV core, by contrast, must never be immersed.

In cold weather, a motorized damper closes the outdoor air intake and recirculates indoor air through the core to thaw it.
