The collars are 5 in, but Venmar recommends 6 in ducting for the 150H75NT/NS and 150E75NT/NS units when the required airflow exceeds 130 cfm, to avoid excessive static pressure in the ducts.
ExhaustExhaust defrost and no recirculation mode
Unlike the N Series 'R' models, the 150 NT/NS units defrost the core by exhaust and have no recirculation mode, so the REC setting is not offered in the screen options.

The only efficiency figure that matters for a Québec winter, and the one the Code uses. An efficiency quoted without its temperature means nothing; this one is measured at a test airflow of 64 cfm.
ExhaustIt defrosts by pausing the fresh air for a few minutes
In cold weather, the supply fan stops for a few minutes while the exhaust keeps running, so warm indoor air thaws the core. During the cycle the house is briefly under negative pressure; if you have a fireplace or a naturally vented combustion appliance, mention it to our estimator.
