An outdoor central heat pump that was no longer breathing properly

The first corrective action was to improve the unit’s breathing. We cleared the immediate area, removed accessible debris, cleaned relevant surfaces, and carefully treated the coil to avoid damaging the fins weakened by age.

This point is essential: an oxidized coil does not clean like a new device. Excessive water pressure or poor technique can worsen the condition of the fins. The goal is not to make the unit look visually new, but to restore the best possible air exchange without causing damage.

Operational test after intervention

After inspections and cleaning, we restarted the central heat pump to observe its behavior. The outdoor fan operated more steadily, the airflow improved, and the system seemed to dissipate heat better. Inside, the client noticed the system responded better to demand, with a more consistent air feeling.

The main result was not just a machine that starts: it was a better-ventilated heat pump, less strained, and whose actual condition was now better understood.
