A service call on the roof for a Tosot heat pump that no longer started properly

In this case, the heat pump involved was a Tosot Inverter, a MultiZone heat pump, probably connected to several wall-mounted indoor units. Inspection of the Tosot outdoor rooftop installation
The Tosot outdoor unit was installed on a wooden structure, with other condensers nearby. Once the power supply stabilized, we observed the behavior of the compressor and the outdoor fan. The goal was to confirm that the heat pump resumed a normal sequence and that the system produced adequate heat exchange.
Starting the outdoor unit
After controlled power restoration, the Tosot outdoor unit responded to the request. The outdoor fan started, and the compressor began to modulate. This behavior confirmed that the failure was not a complete mechanical blockage of the compressor.
Indoor blowing temperature
We then checked the blowing temperature at the served indoor units. A MultiZone heat pump can start outside but may not operate properly if the electronic valves, refrigerant, or sensors have issues. In this case, after stabilization, the served zones began to receive air corresponding to the requested mode.
Modulation monitoring
Inverter systems do not operate like old on/off compressors. They modulate gradually. We therefore let the system run long enough to confirm that the modulation was stable, without premature shutdown or immediate return of a protection symptom.

After the fixes, the system returned to a normal sequence:
