Fujitsu indicates, in particular, that some models in the series can maintain a maximum capacity higher than their rated capacity even in extremely cold weather. Depending on the selected capacity, the performance indicated at -21 °C ranges from 95% to 154% of the rated cooling capacity used as a reference in the technical table. At -26 °C, the indicated values range from 80% to 127%, depending on the model.
For us, this data is much more useful than simply stating “cold climate.” When we size an HVAC system, we must consider the floor area, insulation, number of stories, windows, the home’s exposure, and the actual air distribution.
From 9,000 to 24,000 BTU: why we do not choose a capacity based on floor area alone
The photo clearly identifies the Fujitsu AIRSTAGE family, but it does not by itself confirm the exact capacity of this installation. We therefore avoid arbitrarily assigning it a BTU rating.

Heating performance, expressed in the document as the regional V/HSPF2 CPSC2, ranges from 9.4 to 10.7 depending on capacity.
