The lineup forms three families that do not communicate with each other: the wired tekmarNet network, the Wi-Fi thermostats run from the Watts Home app, and stand-alone controls for radiant floors and mixing. All five run on tN2 (2 wires), tN4 (4 wires) or alone on 3 wires. Network features (schedules, warm weather shutdown) need a tekmarNet system control, such as a Zone Manager.

04 · Gateways

486 or 482: two gateways, two worlds

The 486 opens the app; the 482 talks to home automation. They do not do the same thing.

For the app: the 486 gateway, wired to every tN4 bus in the house.

05 · Wi-Fi thermostats

The four Wi-Fi thermostats: start from what your system must do

All of them use the Watts Home app and your router, with no gateway.

06 · Radiant floor and slab sensor

The floor has its own temperature. The 079 measures it.

The 079 slab sensor lets the thermostat hold a floor minimum or cap its maximum. Pick a thermostat: see whether it accepts one, and how many.

Thermostat 519: up to 1 sensor

Ships with the 079. One sensor input.

Radiant Thermostat 519: ships with the 079, floor minimum and maximum adjustable from 4.5 to 50 °C (default maximum 29.5 °C). It runs a zone valve, a 315/316 wiring center, a relay or a pump.

079 Slab Sensor: 10 kΩ thermistor in 316 stainless steel, 3 m (10 ft) wire, thin enough to sit between two tiles.

07 · Mixing control 361

Cooler water on milder days

The 361 is not a thermostat or a valve: it sets the mixed-water temperature from the outdoor temperature by varying the speed of an injection pump.

Ships with a 070 outdoor sensor and two 082 universal sensors (mixed water, boiler).

Protects the boiler against cold return water (BOIL MIN setting, with the boiler sensor).

Contacts for the system pump and the boiler; optional 076/077 indoor sensor.

Applications: high- or low-mass floor, fan coil, convector, radiator, baseboard.

Only one grant targets a tekmar model, and it is for gas

Checked on October 14, 2026 on each program’s own site. No stacking is presented here.

Énergir: $100 for the 564 Invita

Énergir’s PE-104 list (valid as of October 1, 2026) names the 564 at $100. For Énergir customers with central natural-gas heating, one thermostat per system, apply within 30 days of purchase. No other tekmar model is listed.

ENERGY STAR: the 564 only

In the ENERGY STAR connected-thermostat database, tekmar has a single model: the 564 Invita, qualified on July 11, 2025 for Canada and the United States.

Not eligible

Hydro-Québec: LogisVert and Hilo

LogisVert covers heat pumps, electric thermal storage, efficient pool pumps and solar pool heating, induction ranges, heat-pump dryers and roof insulation, not thermostats. Hilo supports Honeywell Home, Mysa and Sinopé, not tekmar.

Markings

CSA C US on five models

Zone Managers 335 and 336, the 482 gateway, the 361 mixing control and the 079 sensor carry the CSA C US mark. Thermostats, 335, 336, 486 and 361: ICES and FCC Class B.

A manufacturer warranty, and what it does not cover

What tekmar’s “Limited Warranty” document says, linked from every product page on watts.com.

Does AirGreen do the hydronic work?

Hydronic work (boiler, piping, pumps, valves) is done by a licensed partner. AirGreen holds RBQ licence 5645-9605-01, subclasses 15.8, 15.10 and 16.

What is the difference between tekmarNet and the Wi-Fi thermostats?

tekmarNet is a wired network (tN2 or tN4 bus) between thermostats, Zone Managers and gateways. The 561 to 564 join your Wi-Fi on their own with the Watts Home app. tekmar does not link the two.

Does the 482 let me reach my heating from my phone?

No. The 482 is an RS-232 interface for home automation (Control4, Crestron…). For the tekmarNet app, it is the 486 gateway.

How many thermostats on one tN4 bus?

The budget total must not exceed 24: the 532, 552 and 554 count 1.0; the 553 and 557 count 1.1 (1.6 and 1.7 with a 482 gateway). Source: tekmar Service Bulletin 083.

335 or 336?

The 335 runs up to 6 zones on 24 V zone valves. The 336 runs up to 4 zones on 115 V zone pumps. Both have a group-pump output.

Can I wire a 563 Wi-Fi thermostat to a Zone Manager?

tekmar does not document it: the 561 to 564 appear in no 335, 336, 482 or 486 compatibility list. So we do not offer it.

Does the 519 come with its floor sensor?

Yes, the 519 Radiant Thermostat ships with the 079 slab sensor.

Which app do I use?

The tekmarNet app for a tekmarNet network with a 486 gateway. The Watts Home app for the 561 to 564 Wi-Fi thermostats.

Do tekmar Wi-Fi thermostats work on 5 GHz?

No: the 561, 563 and 564 manuals state 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only.

Are tekmar thermostats eligible for LogisVert?

No. Hydro-Québec’s LogisVert does not cover thermostats or hydronic controls.

Does the 361 work with a mixing valve?

tekmar does not provide for it: the 361 sets the mixed water by varying the speed of an injection pump, based on the outdoor temperature.

What warranty does tekmar offer?

A limited manufacturer warranty against defects. Labour, removal and transport are not covered. Length and conditions are those of the tekmar document in force.

Where are tekmar products made?

tekmar states they are designed and assembled in Canada. The head office is in Vernon, British Columbia; tekmar has been part of Watts since 2012.

How much does a tekmar set cost?
