Does this thermostat work with an electric floor heating mat?
No. The A3100101 is a 24 V thermostat for hydronic radiant floors, wired to a zone module, a relay or a valve. Uponor’s documents mention no electric floor. For an electric floor, see our other thermostats.
Is a C wire needed?
No. It runs on two wires with power sharing, on terminals Rh (R) and W, with no polarity. It has no batteries. The floor sensor wires separately, to SEN1 and COM.
Is it programmable?
No. Uponor’s submittal calls it non-programmable: you set the temperature and it holds it. The manual has no schedule.
Does it have Wi-Fi?
No. No wireless connection and no app.
Is the floor sensor included?
No. The A9010599 slab sensor (10k) is sold separately. Its 10 ft lead extends up to 250 ft in 18 AWG. Without it, only the air mode is possible.
What floor temperature for hardwood?
Uponor’s design manual sets 80 °F (26.7 °C) at most at the surface for hardwood, and generally 87.5 °F (30.8 °C) for other finished floors. With the slab sensor, the A3100101 applies a maximum floor limit adjustable up to 35 °C (95 °F).
Does it work with another brand’s module?
The manual allows other makers’ relays, valves or boilers, sometimes with the included 10 kΩ resistor. Each setup is checked on quotation.
How many actuators per thermostat?
The output is 1.3 A at 24 VAC, which is about six actuators according to Uponor’s manual.
Why doesn’t the circulator start right away?
In Uponor’s diagram, the module waits until the actuator or valve is open: the end switch closes, then the ES-ES contact powers the pump relay.
What happens if a sensor fails?
Per the manual, the thermostat falls back to an 18 °C (65 °F) air setpoint. In Off mode, freeze protection holds 3 °C (37 °F).
What is the warranty?
Uponor Ltd.’s, for installations made after May 12, 2026. Thermostats are not named in it, so we show no term. It requires a contractor recognized by Uponor and excludes labour.
Is there a grant for this thermostat?
None among the programs checked as of October 20, 2026. It is not ENERGY STAR listed, it is not on Énergir’s list, LogisVert does not cover thermostats and Hilo is for electric floors.
Who does the work?
AirGreen sells and advises. A partner holding RBQ subclass 15.4 does the hydronic work.
Who is Uponor?
