The name says 12,000 BTU: that's the unit's size class. Amana publishes 11,900 BTU/h at 230 V, and 11,600 at 208 V, the supply in many buildings. Better to read it here than on the spec sheet after installation.
5,000 WThe heater that heats the room
At Amana, the two digits after the series letter (the ** in PTC123K**AXXX) set the heater when ordering: 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 or 5.0 kW at 230 V, 1.3 to 4.1 kW at 208 V. At 5.0 kW it takes a 6-30P plug on 30 A; at 3.5 kW, a 6-20P on 20 A. It heats the room all winter.
