In cold weather, a motorized damper closes the outdoor air intake and recirculates indoor air through the core to thaw it. Serviceability
The core, filters, fans, and drain pan can be easily serviced through a latched access door located on the front of the cabinet. The core slides out conveniently with ease on an improved railing system. A clearance of 17" (432 mm) is recommended for the removal of the core.
Casing
The SHR 3005R's casing is made of 24 gauge galvanized steel, with a baked powder coated paint finish, giving it excellent durability and corrosion resistance.
