What the D5FUHAH24XAK is and who it suits
The D5FUHAH24XAK is the indoor unit of Arcoaire’s Crossover systems. Installed inside the home, it receives refrigerant from the D5CUHAH outdoor unit, conditions the air and pushes it through your ducts. It is designed exclusively for R-454B and has a built-in refrigerant detection sensor, which makes it the indoor match for a D5CUHAH system.
This 2-ton size suits condos with ductwork, bungalows and small houses. It is for homeowners installing a complete D5CUHAH + D5FUHAH central system, and for contractors who want a compact air handler for a confined space. It does not replace an air handler connected to an outdoor unit that uses another refrigerant: we check this on the first visit.
In a condo or a small house
At 14.49 in wide and 21.5 in deep, the cabinet slips into a hallway closet or a corner of the mechanical room. It is multiposition, which leaves room to choose the orientation based on the space available and the duct route.
Noise matters when the air handler is near a bedroom. Arcoaire publishes a sound pressure of 33 dB(A) at 1 m at low speed, 44 at medium speed and 47.5 at high speed. At high speed, the airflow reaches 759.3 CFM under AHRI 210/240 rating conditions.
Another practical detail: the cabinet accepts a 115 V or 208/230 V single-phase supply. In a condo where the electrical panel is already loaded, that option can simplify the connection. The standard 4 in magnetic filter rack takes a 1, 2 or 4 in thick filter.
