The air handler for large Crossover systems
When a home needs a 5-ton central system, the indoor cabinet has to move a lot of air. Arcoaire’s D5FUHAH60XAK moves 1,648.1 CFM at high speed, under AHRI 210/240 rating conditions. It is the indoor unit of Crossover systems, matched with the D5CUHAH outdoor units, and runs exclusively on R-454B with a built-in refrigerant detection sensor.
It is for large multi-storey homes, properties with a finished basement and contractors installing a complete Crossover system. It does not connect to an outdoor unit that uses another refrigerant.
Placing it well in the house
The cabinet sits on a 21.5 x 21.5 in footprint and weighs 188.05 lb. Its natural place is a basement mechanical room, where service access is easy. That choice also matters for acoustic comfort: Arcoaire publishes 37 dB(A) at 1 m at low speed, but 57 dB(A) at high speed. That is why we prefer a location away from the bedrooms.
The cabinet is multiposition, and its refrigerant connections are 3/8 in for the liquid line and 3/4 in for suction, like the other sizes in the D5FUHAH series.
The standard 4 in magnetic rack takes a 1, 2 or 4 in thick filter, up to 20 x 20 in. For a large home, a thick, large-format filter offers a generous filtering surface.
On the electrical side, the cabinet accepts 115 V or 208/230 V. At 115 V, the minimum circuit ampacity reaches 14.5 A for a 15 A maximum overcurrent protection; at 208/230 V, it drops to 10 A. We look at your panel before choosing.
What AirGreen’s installation covers
The free on-site estimate is used to validate the location, the ductwork and the power supply. Because the cabinet height is confirmed with the installation documentation, we measure the space and the access route before reserving the location. You then receive a written quote.
Our technicians set the cabinet, connect the refrigerant line set, the drain and the electrical supply, then commission the system and check the airflow in the rooms. Our RBQ licence 5645-9605-01 covers ventilation, refrigeration and electrical work.
