The AprilAire 300 humidifies the whole house even when there's no forced-air furnace. It puts out 13 gal/day and covers up to 2,000 sq ft according to the manufacturer, for an average-construction home. It's designed for homes heated with electric baseboards, hot water or ductless wall heat pumps.
