For a 900 to 1,500 sq ft house, it's within its range. It will run at part load on ordinary days and keep a reserve for the coldest days.

About 64 litres of water turned into humidity in 24 hours. The control runs it to match the humidity you set: it rarely runs flat out, except in very cold weather.
Heat pumpBehind a heat pump, it produces less
It evaporates water from a pad using the heat of the air coming off the furnace. A heat pump blows cooler air, so it evaporates less. With a heat pump, talk to our estimator: depending on the manufacturer, we connect it to hot water or suggest a steam model instead.

Source 1 BP6000MT: the standard bypass model, with a drain
The BP6000MT mounts on the plenum of a forced-air furnace and works with a bypass duct. It puts out 17 gal/day and suits about 2,000 sq ft by our estimate. Source 1 is the OEM parts brand of Johnson Controls (York, Luxaire, Coleman).
BP6000MT or BP4000MT
The two have the same cabinet and the same 10 × 12¾ in. opening. The BP6000MT is the standard version: the water that isn't evaporated rinses the pad and runs to the drain. The BP4000MT evaporates all its water and does without a drain. Its S1-HUPAD35 water panel is the same as the FP7000MT's, and the M in MT means a manual humidistat is included.
What it needs on site
A 6 in. round bypass duct, a water supply, a drain and a 24 V supply for the valve (0.5 A). Behind a heat pump, the air going through the pad is cooler and output drops. Johnson Controls publishes no replacement interval for the pad; it gets changed when it's scaled. The MY version is its identical York-branded twin.
