For a 900 to 1,500 sq ft house, it's within its range. It will run at part load on ordinary days and keep a reserve for the coldest days.

Heat pumpBehind a heat pump, it produces less
It evaporates water from a pad using the heat of the air coming off the furnace. A heat pump blows cooler air, so it evaporates less. With a heat pump, talk to our estimator: depending on the manufacturer, we connect it to hot water or suggest a steam model instead.

Source 1 FP7000MT: the fan-powered humidifier of the Source 1 family
The FP7000MT mounts on the plenum of a forced-air furnace. It puts out 18 gal/day, the highest output in the family, and suits about 2,100 sq ft by our estimate. Source 1 is the OEM parts brand of Johnson Controls (York, Luxaire, Coleman).
A fan instead of a bypass duct
Its internal fan pushes warm furnace air through the pad. No bypass duct to install. It's also the only one in the family that needs 120 V: the fan draws 0.8 A, while the bypass models only need 24 V. It ships with a manual humidistat, the M in MT, and uses the same S1-HUPAD35 water panel as the BP6000MT.
What it needs on site
Plan for a 14¾ × 14 5/16 in. opening in the plenum, a 120 V outlet, a water supply and a drain. Behind a heat pump, it produces less. Johnson Controls publishes no replacement interval for the pad; it gets changed when it's scaled. The MY version is its identical York-branded twin.
