The name says 15,000 BTU: that's the unit's size class. Amana publishes 14,200 BTU/h at 230 V, and 14,000 at 208 V, the supply in many buildings. Better to read it here than on the spec sheet after installation.
5,000 WThe heater that takes over
At Amana, the two digits after the series letter (the ** in HEH153K**AXXX) set the heater when ordering: 1.5, 2.5, 3.5 or 5.0 kW at 230 V, 1.3 to 4.1 kW at 208 V. At 5.0 kW it takes a 6-30P plug on 30 A; at 3.5 kW, a 6-20P on 20 A. It heats when the heat pump can no longer keep up.
