At AirGreen , we place the utmost importance on the quality of the exterior installation of a wall-mounted heat pump. The context of the project
The client wanted to replace their old wall-mounted air conditioner with a more efficient and quieter Gree heat pump , capable of providing four-season comfort without sacrificing performance. Their red brick home, typical of Blainville's residential neighborhoods, required a robust, stable, and weather-resistant installation —critical requirements on the North Shore, where temperature fluctuations can be extreme.
Preparing and fixing the wall bracket
Before any installation, our AirGreen certified technicians carried out a structural assessment of the exterior wall . The galvanized steel wall support was fixed to the brick using high-strength mechanical anchors.
To absorb vibrations and extend the life of the device, we have added:

reinforced rubber anti-vibration pads ,

custom-fitted aluminum spacers ,

and a slight controlled inclination of the support to promote the evacuation of condensates during thawing periods.
Each bolt, washer and nut has been tightened to a precise tension torque to avoid any sound resonance during operation of the Gree Inverter compressor.
Passage of refrigeration lines and power supply
A waterproof conduit was installed on the wall to protect the copper refrigeration pipes, the communication line and the power cable.
The connections were then crimped, thermally insulated and nitrogen tested to ensure perfect sealing of the refrigerant circuit.
The power supply was connected via a dedicated external circuit breaker and 12 AWG cable , in accordance with the requirements of the RBQ and the Canadian Electrical Code .
Gree compressor installation and calibration
The Gree wall-mounted compressor , with an output of 18,000 BTU , was carefully leveled and then secured to the upper wall bracket. A second compressor, belonging to another area of the house, was already installed below, creating a dual-zone configuration typical of high-efficiency AirGreen installations.
