Recently, our AirGreen team carried out a complete installation of a Midea wall-mounted heat pump in a single-family residence in Boisbriand , on the North Shore of Montreal.

A careful installation that respects the aesthetics of the building
The client was keen to preserve the neat appearance of its red brick facade. Our technicians therefore opted for a wall installation on a galvanized support , positioned under the rear bay window, sheltered from the prevailing winds and away from the electricity meters.
The outdoor unit has been slightly raised to prevent any accumulation of water or snow on the ground during the winter.
The refrigeration ducts and electrical wiring were concealed in thermal trunking matching the wall colour , ensuring a clean and discreet finish.

Technical steps of installation

Preparing the wall and fixing the support
Our installers used stainless steel anchors suitable for masonry, ensuring a solid fixing of the condenser to the brick facade.
A laser level check ensured perfect stability. -
Refrigeration duct passage
A precise drilling was made under the bay window to allow the passage of the insulated copper pipe , the communication cables and the condensate drain. -
Connecting the indoor unit
Inside, the Midea wall-mounted head was installed in a central location in the living room, ensuring even air distribution throughout the main space. -
Vacuum and leak testing
The entire refrigerant circuit was evacuated to -30 inHg for 25 minutes to remove all traces of moisture and air before the release of the R410A refrigerant.
The pressures were then hot tested to confirm the absence of leaks. -
Calibration and commissioning
The wireless remote control was programmed, and the system was put into operation under the customer's supervision.
We measured a blowing temperature 7°C lower than the ambient temperature from the first minutes of operation, a sign of optimal efficiency.
Results: immediate comfort and reduced consumption
The customer immediately noticed a noticeable difference in the interior temperature and the extremely low noise level of the system.
