A technical intervention at height in a Montreal building
In the Plateau-Mont-Royal neighborhood, our AirGreen technicians were recently called to diagnose a Fujitsu wall-mounted heat pump installed on the rear facade of a duplex. The owner had noticed that the outdoor unit was no longer producing heating or cooling, and that the indoor unit was displaying an intermittent error code.
Access to the facility was already a challenge: the condenser was fixed to the second floor, on wall brackets more than 4 meters above the ground . To ensure a safe and efficient intervention, our team set up a complete work device including two double ladders and a pulley system to handle tools and parts without risk to the technicians or the building facade.
Diagnosis: Communication problem between units
Once on site, our specialists carried out the usual tests:

The diagnosis quickly revealed a damaged communications cable . The insulation of the main wire had been severed due to constant friction against the metal gutter. This type of breakage, often subtle, can interrupt signal transmission between electronic boards, leading to complete system failure.
Intervention: wiring repair and complete system check
Our team undertook the repair in several precise stages:

Complete replacement of the communication cable between the indoor and outdoor units, with the addition of an additional protective sheath.

Securely attach the cable along the wall using weatherproof clips.

Power up and reprogram the system according to Fujitsu specifications.

Operation test in air conditioning and heating mode.
After these interventions, the heat pump restarted normally. The refrigerant pressures and discharge temperature were in accordance with the manufacturer's reference values.
Result: restored comfort and secure installation
The customer noticed an immediate return to comfort inside their home. The air was blown at the correct temperature, the compressor operated stably and quietly, and no errors were displayed on the interior panel.
