2. Disassembly and inspection of the fitting

The defective flare fitting was disassembled, cleaned, and replaced with a new, perfectly calibrated fitting. We also added a drop of POE oil to improve the seal when tightening.

3. Nitrogen leak test

The system was then pressurized to 400 psi with dry nitrogen for 30 minutes. No pressure loss was detected—proof that the repair was sound.

4. Deep vacuum and precise refill

A full vacuum to -30 inHg was performed to remove all traces of moisture. The R-410A refrigerant was then recharged to the nearest gram according to Sharp specifications.


Final checks: optimal performance restored

Once the heat pump was restarted, our technicians measured:

  • A stable suction pressure at 120 psi;

  • An indoor blowing temperature of 8.2°C;

  • Nominal power consumption and no compressor overload.
