In the case of a partial installation (for example, a wall-mounted heat pump installed but the roof insulation and air sealing postponed), the application may not meet the requirements for combined funding, or may even be deemed ineligible if full proof of the work is not submitted on time.

Consequences of an incomplete installation

Loss of eligibility for the grant

If a measure included in the application is not completed or the proof of installation does not meet the criteria defined in the LogisVert guide (compliant invoice, photo, RBQ number, etc.), Hydro-Québec may reject the partial measure . This means:

• No grant amount is paid for this measure;

• Other measures could be reassessed individually;

• The 5% bonus for installing multiple measures becomes ineligible.

Extension of processing times

An incomplete file systematically results in significant delays . In our experience, this can double the standard 10 to 12 week delay announced by Hydro-Québec.

Risk of repayment obligation

In the event that a subsidy is paid in error for a partial or ineligible measure, Hydro-Québec reserves the right to demand a full refund of the amount.

How to avoid problems with partial installation?

Successful installation in Longueuil: Heat pump + caulking

A Longueuil client had an 18,000 BTU FUJITSU KZAH R-32 wall-mounted heat pump installed and completed the air sealing work within 7 weeks. Result: a $2,520 grant was awarded under the former heat pump and air sealing measure (withdrawn on August 25, 2025).

Partial installation in Laval: Loss of bonus

In Laval, another client installed only the heat pump and did not finish the air sealing in time. Result: only the basic heat pump grant was paid. The client also had to provide several additional documents, which pushed the payment back to more than 16 weeks.

What to do if an installation remains incomplete?

1. Do not submit the file immediately

Until all eligible measures have been completed , it is strongly recommended that you do not submit your application through the LogisVert portal. Premature submission triggers the analysis process and may freeze eligibility on an incomplete file.

2. Communicate with Hydro-Québec

If in doubt, contact LogisVert support at 1-833-396-1888 to report the situation. While they do not allow formal deadline extensions, they can guide you on best practices.
